The Cincinnati Reds acquired RHP Jonathon Crawford and SS Eugenio Suarez from the Detroit Tigers for RHP Alfredo Simon. This deal may have gone under the radar for many Reds' fans but I think the Reds got a great deal.
I am a season ticket holder for the Connecticut Tigers and saw Crawford and Suarez play dozens of times and both players could be factors in Cincinnati soon. Crawford was very impressive in 2013 for Connecticut and was the Tigers' first round draft pick that year.
Eugenio Suarez was fantastic for the 2011 Connecticut Tigers and could be the Reds starting SS very soon. He has enough pop to possibly hit 10-15 HR a year in Cincinnati!
